NIS Acquired First Storage in Bulgaria

NIS became the owner of a storage for liquified petroleum products in Konstinbrod, in Bulgaria. It isa new, modern, well equipped installation intended for acceptance, storage, blending and delivery of high quality petroleum products from NIS.
This facility is located 20 km west from Sofia, towards the Republic of Serbia, covering an area of around 90.000 m2, and includes storage areas for diesel, gasoline, LPG, biodiesel and etahnol, as well as an installation for automatic additivization of. Total capacity of tank farm is 25,500 m3. From this storage petroleum products meeting market regulations for the needs of interested buyers at the market will be shipped. It is expected that the installation in its full capacity will start to operate by the end of October.
This is the first step in preparations for the import of high quality fuels from NIS, after the completion of the modernization of the refining complex which is to be finalized by the end of the year. In accordance with the strategic plans of NIS related to the export of petroleum products in line with Euro 5 quality from Serbia and modernization of retail network in the region, in the next three year a significant expansion of storage capacites in Bulgaria is planned, particularly related to white petroleum products, as weel as to the products of Gazprom group.
