Operation on gas field “Torda Plitko” launched

March 11, 2011

The Block ”Exploration and Production” of NIS a.d. Novi Sad launched into operation two wells at new gas field, which will produce up to 80,000 cubic meters of gas a day.

The production plan for 2011 envisages the production amounting to over 30 million cubic meters of gas at gas field “Torda Plitko”.

Before commencement of operations of the gas field “Torda Plitko”, explorations were undertaken on the basis of which the existence of the commercial gas field of NIS a.d. Novi Sad has been confirmed. Exploration well ”Tdp-1“ (Torda plitko-1) that is located in Srednji Banat, at 5 km distance from Banatski Dvor, was made by NIS a.d. Novi Sad in February last year, when it has also commenced exploration works
and has established the existence of high quality methane gas. In September last year second well was made, near to the first one, ”Tdp-2“(Torda plitko -2) with the aim to increase reserves and production of gas as well as to determine the borders of the Torda Plitko field. After the completion of exploration works, both wells were connected with the joint pipeline ending at gas gathering station Banatski Dvor, which
is approximately 8 km long.

The works on gas field “Torda Plitko” we undertaken jointly by Block ”Exploration and Production” and Block “Services” within NIS a.d. Novi Sad. The value of the investment is approximately RSD 150 million.
