NIS group performance results in the first half of 2026

July 30, 2026

Stability of operations alongside strict financial discipline

In the first half of 2026, given the complex business circumstances, the NIS Group continued to implement a program of measures aimed at maintaining financial discipline and optimizing costs at all levels, while maintaining the financing of strategically important projects.

Thanks to this model, as well as the increase in oil prices on the world market and the effect of cheaper inventories, the NIS Group achieved a net profit of 9.8 billion dinars in the first half of the current year, while EBITDA stands at 35.1 billion dinars. The average price of Brent crude oil in the January-June 2026 period was 92.6 dollars per barrel, compared to 71.7 dollars in the same period last year.

In the complex operating conditions, which were further exacerbated by developments on the global oil market during the reporting period, the NIS Group maintained its focus on the orderly supply of all types of petroleum products to the market and preserving the social stability of its employees. NIS also continued investing in capital projects, with the volume of investments reaching 11.8 billion dinars. Positive operating cash flow stands at 16.6 billion dinars, while the calculated public revenue liabilities of the NIS Group in the first six months of this year amounted to 101.4 billion dinars.

When it comes to operational results, oil and gas production in the first six months amounted to 554.4 thousand tons of oil equivalent. The volume of refining of crude oil and semi-finished products was at the level of 1.6 million tons of oil, while the total volume of sales of petroleum products in the first half of 2026 amounted to 1.4 million tons.

Despite the complex circumstances, NIS continued with the implementation of socially responsible programs and projects of importance to the community and youth. A new competition was launched within the Common-Cause Community social responsibility program for the funding of projects in key local communities where NIS operates, in the amount of 144.5 million dinars.

Bearing in mind the business conditions, NIS will remain committed to strict financial discipline in the remainder of the year, especially considering that prices on the oil market are volatile and that the group may face the effect of more expensive oil inventories in the next quarter. In this context, the NIS Group will continue implementing measures aimed at increasing efficiency and rational cost management, with an emphasis on preserving business sustainability and market stability.
