NIS and the Romanian Government Discussed Plans for Future Business Development

On 13 October 2011 NIS delegation led by Kirill Kravchenko, company CEO, and Romanian Prime Minister Emil Boc has held a meeting at which the company presented its development plans in Romania, which include investments in the oil sector in the amount of several hundred million EUR by 2015 as well as the opening of about 500 jobs.

The Head of the Romanian Government has stated that foreign investors, such as NIS, which is a member of Gazprom group are welcome in Romania, and also expressed his support for job-generating projects. This meeting has also been attended by Constantin Nicolaus Petri, NIS CEO Deputy for Investment and Strategy, Alexander Churilin, Ambassador of Russian Federation in Romania, Ion Ariton, Minister of Economy, Trade and Business Environment, Dan Iuliu Plaveti, President of ANRE (Romanian Energy Regulatory Authority) and Alexandru Patruti, President of ANRM (National Agency of Mineral Resources).
